The Native American Independent Living Demonstration project is a 3 year opportunity given to Disability Services and Legal Center to assess and identify the needs of Native Americans with Disabilities and create a model for other Independent Living Centers to follow to address these needs. The Sonoma County Housing Authority is implementing drastic changes to their voucher program. The existing voucher program will be overhauled and transition from a standard wait list system into a lottery based wait list. Individuals that currently have a spot on the wait list, or wish to get on it, need to re-apply and complete a new lottery wait list application. Applicants can apply from July 1st until July 31st (PREFERENCE WILL NOT BE MADE BASED ON SUBMISSION TIME).
DSLC staff will be assisting individuals with disabilities complete this new application by appointment only, Staff will work with consumers every Friday in the month of July.
