The CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) is a law intended to address the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic in the US. The DSLC CARES program will provide DSLC consumers in all four counties (Napa, Lake, Mendocino, and Sonoma) affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are eligible to receive CARES Act funding. This is to provide direct support and services to individuals with disabilities and their families who are experiencing disruptions in their life, as well as independent and community-based living. This program will ensure individuals with disabilities have the supports they need to get through these difficult times. DSLC CARES funding will cover the following:
- Housing (Rent and Security Deposits)
- Utilities (Utility Bills, Medical Bills)
- Car repair bill
- Gas
- Food
- Childcare
- Misc.
